Are senile and garrulous people happy or unhappy? Are they in search of anything or are they missing something? What is the idea behind trying to make them happy? Do they understand or even realize the efforts of others in trying to ease their miserable state? I have no idea how psychology works but it's disheartening to believe that it's not after happiness that the world runs.After all, there are many philosophies which tell us the worth or the necessity to be happy and to create a centre of happiness within us.But, when I met my aged garrulous grandmother's brother, there was not one philosophy which could put his plight into perspective.We, his grand nieces and nephews were in tears as were his own children. I had been allured into a shop by the mouthwatering confectionery on display.Had not intended to consume so many chocolates but did eat quite a few, enough to give me a stomachache the following morning.Even now I remember the taste of the candy bar shaped like a walking stick, the jellylike marshmallow, the warm squishiness of a round chocolate that tasted like a combination of an eclair and a hard brown candy of yesteryears, and the fruit and nut chocolate made with jaggery. If I were to calculate all the minutes spent talking in a day I would find maybe a few hours wasted.Filled with the information brought in from the books and wisdom of many centuries it is easy to think how futile it is to speak or more often to babble.Yet, it is so difficult to ensure a state of calm within and even more without.There are many instances one comes across when one is forced to let go off the calm and quiet within.What one sees is a letting out of steam which is a by product of the disquiet one has nurtured when at some point formerly a serene moment had been disrupted by an outward act and the resulting disruption had not been withheld.I don't say, controlled, because it seems too big a word with which to restrain our idiosyncrasies, 'withhold' seems more appropriate since it allows scope for improvement, both of the idiosyncrasies and the manner of withholding!  One such instance commonly crops up when there is a visitation pending from an imminent gues...
